WFD Junior Fire Academy

Woodbridge Fire Department, July 25

The WFD Junior Fire Academy began yesterday. Students filled out accountability cards, did physical training, had a lesson on the Incident Command system and learned about Personal Protective Equipment.

Woodbridge Fire Department assisted Mr. O the Science Pro’s Space Camp in testing their rover landing designs. These future NASA scientists from elementary and middle school were tasked with creating a rover landing that was light enough to float down with a parachute slow enough to protect the egg inside the rover from cracking. Reading, Big Wheels and Little League

The members of Woodbridge Fire Department #1 were out in the month of March and April. In March we participated in Read Across America with Dr. Seuss. The members of the fire department stopped in at the pre-schools and elementary schools as part of the program. They read a book by Dr. Seuss and answered questions from the students.
